In today’s fast-paced digital world, it’s easy to question the role of in-person events. With
virtual demos, online meetings, and constant connectivity, are trade shows still as relevant as they
once were?
The short answer: yes, more than ever.
Trade shows remain one of the most valuable touch points in manufacturing and
engineering. Not just
for showcasing technology, but for building relationships, exchanging ideas, and gaining real
insight into where the industry is headed.
More Than a Booth
At first, trade shows might seem like a place to display products or solutions. But in reality,
they serve a much bigger purpose.
They’re where:
- Conversations turn into partnerships
- Gifts are given
- Ideas are shared in real time
There’s a level of interaction and immediacy that simply can’t be replicated online.
Seeing a
system in action, asking questions on the spot, and having face-to-face conversations creates a
deeper understanding that goes beyond any brochure or video.

Trade shows also act as a real-time snapshot of the industry. From emerging technologies to
shifting priorities, these events provide a clear look at:
- What companies are investing in
- Where innovation is heading
- What challenges are top of mind
For companies like us, it’s an opportunity not just to showcase solutions but to listen.
Understanding what manufacturers are experiencing on the ground helps shape better, more
relevant engineering solutions.
Where SK International Will Be This Year
As part of our continued commitment to staying connected to the industry, SK International will
be actively participating in several key events this year.
We’ll be exhibiting at the Advanced Manufacturing Expo (July 28–29 in Grand
Rapids), where
we’ll also be taking part in a breakout room session, and at IMTS 2026 (September 14–19
in
Chicago).
In addition, we’ll be attending MODEX, speaking on automation at the
Society of
Plastics
Engineers (SPE), and joining Automate alongside our partners
Syntec and
Botsync, who
will have
booths on the show floor.
Each of these events offers a unique opportunity to engage with different
sectors of
the industry
from manufacturing and robotics to automation and factory digitalization.
Why It Matters
For SK International, these events reflect how we approach every project: collaborative,
informed, and grounded in real-world challenges. As the industry continues to evolve, trade
shows remain important spaces for connection, innovation, and progress.
We’re looking forward to being part of that this year by connecting, learning, and contributing
along the way. If you’re attending any of these events, we’d love to connect and continue the
conversation.
